UNEMPLOYMENT –

 WORKFARE ,this policy started off as a ‘voluntary scheme’ but was deemed illegal and so the DWP altered the Law within a day and moved the goal posts so it is now mandatory .Just for a minor misdemeanour you can now be Sanctioned from 6 months up to 3 years.

COUNCIL TAX –

All recipients of Benefits now pay a % of Council Tax .

CARE OF THE ELDERLY –

LIVERPOOL CARE PATHWAY , for the Dying Patient (LCP) is a model of care which enables healthcare professionals to focus on care in the last hours or days of life when a death is expected. It is tailored to the person's individual needs and includes consideration of their physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs .A 90 year old woman was put on the programme without relatives consent ,when her daughter found out she took the lady home and a week later the lady was going on a World cruise.

BEDROOM TAX –

Welfare reforms will cut the amount of benefit that people can get if they are deemed to have a spare bedroom in their council or housing association home. This measure has means £14 for an extra bedroom and £25 for two . A GRAN told yesterday how a council officer turned up at her door to threaten her with eviction over bedroom tax.

FOOD BANKS –

 Free food for those struggling and on the Poverty Line- In the 13th most deprived borough in England, a fragile part of the local emergency welfare ecosystem is in danger of collapse. Haringey food bank, in north London, has warned it is struggling to meet the explosion in demand for food parcels from local people living on the breadline .

IMMIGRATION -

Net migration decreased by extra 10,000 people to 153,000 in year to September compared with previous quarter, says ONS - Research by the EU's statistics arm Eurostat has revealed Britain in 2010 had the highest intake of immigrants at 591,000 .

POVERTY –

There are currently 3.6 million children living in poverty in the UK . That’s almost a third of all children. 1.6 million of these children live in severe poverty . In the UK 58% of children living in poverty .

UK DEBT –

 As of Q4 2012 the national debt amounted to £1,347.4 billion, or 88.7% of total GDP.[1] The annual cost of servicing the public debt amounts to around £43bn, or roughly 3% of GDP . Due to the Government's significant budget deficit, which must be financed by borrowing, the national debt is increasing by approximately £121 billion per annum, or around £2.3 billion each week.

INCOME TAX –

Reduced the Tax burden from 50% to 45% for the Richest of the Country.
